Literature Text

your skin amazes me,
stretched finely and
softly on the bed,
I seek you in the dark
of the room
by scent,
by the radar of my breath,
stretching my tongue to find you,
taste the fuzzy border of light
you create in the darkness,
leave slippery marks
of me
in trembles
and have you echo
echo the night
written in the middle of the night while half asleep. When I read it the next day it struck me that it could have been written by my dog (but I do remember writing it). She finds me in the dark and licks me to wake me up ;)

You can write snippets of poems while half asleep? I wish I can do that too! I sometimes dream of words and sentences, but can never remember them by morning. Very much enjoyed the line: ‘taste the fuzzy border of light’ — synaesthesia!
